
Slade Smith, CEO of Monument Constructors, Inc., graduated from Monsignor Kelly
High School in Beaumont, Texas, in 1996. After attending Lamar University and
working as a construction superintendent with his father throughout his high school and
college years, Slade began studying real estate and obtained his Texas Real Estate
License in 1999.
Slade was then hired as Property Manager for American Real Estate in Beaumont where
he oversaw all leasing operations and management of single and multi-family properties.
Later, Slade was promoted to the Commercial Real Estate Division.
Slade continued to utilize his knowledge of real estate and construction when he accepted
a Sales position with Transit Mix Commercial Concrete, a division of Trinity Industries.
While at Transit Mix, Slade grew the Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Greater Southeast
Texas region.
Slade joined the Monument team in 2008 as an Estimator and Sales Associate. Under
Slade's direction and guidance, Monument has more than doubled its annual sales
revenue and been awarded multi-million dollar projects in Texas and Louisiana. Slade
has also played an integral role in Monument's expansion efforts in the West with the
opening of the Western Division Office in Denver, Colorado.
At the Duro-Last National Sales Conference, Slade accepted the John R. Burt Golden
Eagle Award on behalf of Monument for sales in excess of $1,700,000.
